Simple Structure. Ancient Roots
Our service is a modified version of compline, a Night Prayer liturgy that has been prayed around the world as early as the 6th century. The prayer service seeks to impart a sense of peace and calm as we end our days.
We have simplified the service, on average Bedtime Chapel is five-minutes long, and added in a short Bible reading that mostly follows the Revised Common lectionary for daily prayer.
The service will have minor adaptations throughout the church seasons. Download a copy of our current order of service here and follow along with your family while you pray with us via podcast.
Once a week we will release a companion episode for family members with longer attention spans that explores the upcoming Bible readings. We will be joined by a guest who helps us to interpret these passages through the lens of family life and current events.
